juns_6969 2026-9-11 95 9/11

I think saving money gives me a sense of security, especially when something unexpected happens. I don't try to save every single penny, though. I usually set aside a certain amount every month and spend the rest on things I actually enjoy.

Sentence 1

I think saving money gives me a sense of security, especially when something unexpected happens.

- Saving money is a good habit. —

  • a sense of security /sɪˈkjʊərəti/ — 安全感

- 高频结构:a sense of + 抽象名词 — a sense of humor 幽默感、a sense of achievement 成就感、a sense of belonging 归属感

- 形容词:secure — feel secure about the future 对未来感到安心

- 辨析:especially(尤其,包含在内)vs specially(专门地)— I made this cake specially for you.

- 构词:un-(否定前缀)+ expected(预料中的)

- happen to sb/sth — 发生在……身上:If anything happens to me...

- 口语:What happened? 怎么了;It happened to rain.

I think saving money gives me a sense of security 是"观点 + 感受"的开场模板:I think 软启动,表明"以下是我的个人看法",后面接一个完整的小句子。而句子的主语本身是动名词 saving money——把一个动作名词化,它就能堂堂正正地当主语,接上 gives me a sense of ... Exercising gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Sentence 2

I don't try to save every single penny, though.

  • try to do — 试图/努力做某事

- I tried to open the window, but it was stuck. vs Try restarting your computer.

- 否定式 don't try to ...

- every single day/month/time — 每一天/每个月/每一次(强调版)

- 同类强调套路:at all(否定句中)、on earth(疑问句中)

- not have a penny 身无分文;penny pincher 抠门的人

A penny saved is a penny earned.

The food was great, though the service was slow. vs 副词:The service was slow. The food was great, though.

- 发音辨析:though /ðəʊ/、through /θruː/、thought /θɔːt/、thorough /ˈθʌrə/ 别混

I don't try to ..., though.

Sentence 3

I usually set aside a certain amount every month and spend the rest on things I actually enjoy.

- set aside some time/money/a budget — 留出时间/钱/预算

- a certain amount of + 不可数名词 — a certain amount of money;可数用 a certain number of

- 可指可数或不可数:the rest of the money / the rest of the students

- Some like coffee; the rest prefer tea.

- 固定搭配:spend money/time on sth 或 spend ... doing sth

- 辨析:spend(人作主语)vs cost(物作主语)vs pay(付钱)vs take(花时间,it 作主语)

- ✗ spend money to buy things 冗余 — 直接 spend money on things

I don't actually like it.(其实不喜欢——纠正语气)vs things I actually enjoy(强调真实感受)

- 接名词或动名词:enjoy doing sth — ✗ enjoy to do

- enjoy yourself 玩得开心 = have a good time

I usually set aside ... every month and spend the rest on things I actually enjoy. 是"分配句式"的理财模板:set aside X(先划出该留的)+ spend the rest on Y(剩下的随性花)。 I set aside an hour every morning and spend the rest of the day on my main work.
